The place of GLBT persons within the life of the Anglican Church of Canada will be debated again at General Synod 2007 this coming June. We have prepared an Open Letter to be sent to all members of General Synod. We would ask that you visit our Living God's Blessing website and add your name to those supporting our Open Letter.
Thank you for your support.
The Toronto Chapter of Integrity exists to exercise these three ministries:
- A pastoral ministry to and by lesbigay Anglicans and friends. This takes place primarily in the context of regular meetings and worship services.
- A ministry to the Church, in which Integrity/Toronto represents lesbigay Anglicans to the church as a whole. This is done by publishing literature, participating in the councils of the Church, and acting as a resource in whatever way possible.
- A ministry to proclaim Jesus Christ within the lesbigay community. This is achieved by being present at lesbigay events and evangelising those beyond the reachof the rest of the Church.
If you're looking for a parish where lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender people will be welcome in the pews, go to the Proud Anglicans website for a listing.
Integrity/Toronto is a worshipping community. Once a month, we gather around Christ's table. We gather strength for the journey here, from the worship and from each other.
It would, of course, be wonderful to see all of our members (and others) join us at the table. However, we realise that's not possible. Our members are in all ten provinces, and overseas. Those within travelling distance can't always make it either. But if you can join us in prayer on the third Monday of the month, wherever you are, our community will be the stronger for it, and we will all be blessed. Join the great cloud of witnesses.
